The wallet of the Stake betting platform has been hacked. Suspicious transactions were reported by the Cyvers Alerts service team.
Analysts indicated that the attacker "received about $16 million in ETH, USDC, USDT and DAI." At the time of writing, the Stake team has not responded to reports from Cyvers Alerts and PeckShield.
Analysts of the latter indicated that the hacker transferred 6,001 ETH, 900,000 DAI, $1.1 million USDC and $3.9 million USDT from the address. So far, they have not specified how the unknown person managed to hack the wallet.
On-chain analyst under the pseudonym ZachXBT pointed to the loss of another $25.6 million.
Recall that from January to August, the loss of Web3 platforms from the actions of hackers and fraudsters amounted to $1.25 billion, according to Immunefi.
Earlier, Beosin experts estimated the damage caused by hacks and fraud to the industry in the first half of the year at $655.6 million.
