Russian DJ Denis Kaznacheev was arrested in Berlin at the request of the US Department of Justice. He is suspected of cyber fraud and laundering $ 1 million through the darknet, according to the musician’s Facebook page.

According to TASS , the DJ was arrested a week ago on the basis of a warrant issued in December 2019 by a court in one of Maryland's 24 counties. According to the prosecution, Kaznacheev was involved in money laundering during 2010-2020 as part of the Russian cyber mafia.

Now the DJ is in custody in a German prison, he categorically denies his guilt. A TASS source said that, according to Kaznacheyev, the ID and IP address indicated in the case have nothing to do with him and he is not familiar with any of the alleged accomplices.

Friends of Denis Kaznacheev, who posted a post on Facebook, suggested that his personal data could be stolen by fraudsters and used for illegal activities. They created a petition to protect the musician and organized a collection of donations to pay legal costs.

Denis Kaznacheev, acting under the pseudonyms Guttersnipe and Cast, was born in 1983 in the city of Tashtagol, Kemerovo region. More than six thousand people have subscribed to his SoundCloud page.

Recall that in May the German prosecutor issued an arrest warrant for the alleged GRU officer Dmitry Badin. The Russian was accused of committing a hacker attack on the Bundestag in 2015 and illegal activities using cryptocurrencies.
