The woman was engaged in criminal activity for ten years.
Three and a half years will be spent in a penal colony by an employee of Sberbank from the city of Dyurtyuli, Bashkiria. The district court found the 43-year-old woman guilty of fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), according to the republican prosecutor’s office.

From September 2009 to February 2019, the manager of the local branch of Sberbank asked her friends to lend her money, promising to purchase shares and securities on more favorable terms, the supervisor said.

“Bank customers also issued a loan and gave money to the defendant in a criminal case, allegedly for further transfer of debt at high interest rates to entrepreneurs. In fact, the attacker stole the money and spent it at her discretion, ”the press service of the prosecutor’s office noted.

According to the investigation, as a result of its illegal actions, 24 citizens suffered damage in the amount of over 21.7 million rubles.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the crime and was detained in the courtroom.

An internal investigation against the employee was initiated by Sberbank in December 2018.
“The bank reported the results of the internal investigation, during which the fact of fraudulent actions was established, to the law enforcement bodies. These materials were attached to the criminal case against the woman in February 2019, ”RBC Ufa told the press service of the Bashkir branch of Sberbank.
