A specialized unit will provide the basis for the new Army Information Security Operations Center.
The UK Department of Defense has created the 13th Signal Regiment, part of the Royal Corps of Communications of the British Armed Forces, responsible for providing protection against digital attacks. The new unit will protect vital defense networks in the country and during operations abroad.
“This is a new step in the modernization of the armed forces of Great Britain, which should be ready for an information war. Cyber attacks are just as deadly as those encountered on the physical battlefield, so we must prepare for protection from any sources of threats, and the 13th Signal Regiment is a vital addition to this defense, ”said department head Ben Wallace ( Ben Wallace).
