Using the transferred data, the criminals stole about 8.5 million rubles from the accounts of bank customers.





An employee of the financial organizations Arkhangelsk-Voskresensky and Alfa-Bank sold customer data, which was then used for criminal purposes.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Arkhangelsk Region, 24-year-old Vladislav Sukhanov bribed an employee of the credit and cash office, 25-year-old Andrey Odoev. From December 2018 to March 2019, out of selfish motives, Odoev disclosed confidential information constituting a bank secret about six clients of the bank, their accounts and balances on them.

With the help of these data, Moscow criminals made fake passports of depositors and opened bank cards, using which funds totaling about 8.5 million rubles were stolen from the accounts of three clients of the financial organization. For the data provided, Odoev and Sukhanov received from the criminals a monetary reward of 140 thousand rubles.

The Oktyabrsky District Court of the city of Arkhangelsk found Odoev guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 183 of the Criminal Code (“Illegal receipt and disclosure of information constituting a commercial, tax or banking secret, out of mercenary interest”).

Sukhanov was found guilty of an offense under Part 4 and 5 of Art. 33 h. 3 art. 183 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Collecting information constituting bank secrecy through bribery, incitement and complicity in the illegal disclosure and use of information constituting bank secrets, without the consent of their owners by the person to whom it was communicated and became known from work that caused major damage and committed from selfish interest ”).

The court sentenced Odoev to a fine of 50 thousand rubles, Sukhanov - in the amount of 45 thousand rubles. with the deprivation of both of the right to engage in activities related to bank secrecy for 1 year 6 months.
