In the future, students of the Academy of Patrol Police will be able to undergo an internship at the Department of Cyberpolice of the NPU. The relevant memorandum was signed today, June 19, by the head of the NPU Cyberpolice Department Oleksandr Hrynchak and the head of the Academy Vadym Lisnychuk.

From now on, the parties agreed to cooperate in the field of scientific, methodological, educational and information activities on combating cybercrime.

According to Oleksandr Hrynchak, such cooperation will allow to introduce the professional experience of the domestic cyberpolice into the educational process and to involve operatives of the unit as teachers for training students of the Patrol Police Academy.

"Students will also be able to do an internship at the Cyberpolice Department. This will make it possible to seriously increase the level of knowledge of the future police officer in the field of cybersecurity, and thus - to more professionally combat crimes committed against our citizens in cyberspace. These are, in particular, frauds or other property crimes, the victims of which may be ordinary citizens, "- said the head of the Cyberpolice Department of the NPU.

According to the head of the Patrol Police Academy Vadym Lisnychuk, the memorandum signed today between the Cyberpolice Department and the school is the first step towards joint cooperation and development of the police training process in accordance with the requirements of the present and the future. In addition, the memorandum provides for scientific and methodological seminars, conferences, round tables, trainings and other events on topical issues of combating cybercrime.

"We believe that the future is in cybernetics, and many professions that exist today will not be needed in 20 years. But you will always need a patrol officer who knows how to use different information technologies. That is why the memorandum is the first step towards our joint cooperation and training of qualified police officers, "said the head of the National Police School.

It will be recalled that on June 10, the cyberpolice signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ukrainian Interbank Association , which will facilitate the investigation of cybercrime in the financial sphere.
