As established, the group has been operating since 2018 and specialized in stealing personal data of citizens of the UK, USA, European countries and the CIS for sale on DarkNet resources.

For two years, hackers have stolen the personal data of citizens of Great Britain, the United States, Europe and the CIS for sale on DarkNet resources,

the Security Service of Ukraine, together with UK law enforcement agencies, have blocked the activities of an international hacker group. This was reported by the SBU press service.

"The group has been operating since 2018 and specialized in stealing personal data of citizens of the UK, USA, European countries and the CIS for sale on DarkNet resources," the department noted.

British law enforcement officials said that one of the members of the group lives in Ukraine. The hacker developed and sold on specialized sites viral programs for illegal access to computers around the world, writes the SBU.

According to the investigation, with the help of a malicious program, hackers stole logins and passwords from Internet sites, electronic mailboxes, credit card data and electronic wallets of citizens. Then the information was used to create botnets, DDoS attacks, steal funds and personal information of citizens.

During searches of the Ukrainian hacker, they seized more than 20 terabytes of information from compromised computers and the source codes of the virus he developed. The man was informed of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 361-2 (unauthorized sale or distribution of information with limited access, which is stored in computers) UK.

UK law enforcers have detained his accomplice, who is already serving a prison sentence for cybersecurity crimes.
